Have you ever heard or the “smoochy” technique? I haven’t, but I think I have done manis with this style unaware of its name. Today I start the Summer (a little late) with a colorful smoochy manicure.

Worry not. This post is about my nails and I won’t drone on and on about my goals for the year. For that I should make a video or something. Is just that my daily planner and goals of the year is what inspired today’s mani.
No se preocupen. Esta entrada es sobre mis uñas no me pondre a escribir demasiado sobre mis metas personales para este año. Para eso tendría que hacer un video o algo. Es sólo que entre mi agenda y mis metas salio la inspiración para la mani de hoy.
Sometimes inspiration strikes in the weirdest of moments. Like when you are about to fall sleep at night but you have to get up, sketch your next manicure and go straight back to bed. Or does that just happen to me?
The inspiration for today’s mani is somewhere between the jumpsuit I wore last Christmas Eve and my love for minimalism. I’ll try to add a photo of my Christmas outfit at the end.
A veces la inspiración te llega en lo momentos más extraños. Como cuando estas por quedarte dormida en la noche y tienes que levantarte a dibujar la manicura que te vino a la mente para poder regresar a la cama y dormir. O quizas eso sea algo que sólo me pasa a mi.
La inspiración para la manicura de hoy viene de una mezcla entre mi ropa del 24 de Diciembre y mi amor por el minimalismo.

My color combination is not exactly the tones for the Pantones of 2016 but is fairly close. And it also represent the season (even though I’ve never seen snow). I hope this new year brings great things for all of you reading me and that it allows me to bring new manis weekly, improving my skills and creativity.

Mi combinación de colores no son exáctamente los tonos del los Pantones del 2016, pero se parecen bastante. También intento representar la temporada, aunque nunca he visto nieve. If you are new to my blog you might not know I am part of a book club for nail art lovers: The Polished Bookworms. Each month we select a new book, and at the end of the month we post a mani inspired by it. This month’s read was “The Night Circus“ by Erin Morgenstern. I absolutely LOVED this book. Choosing what to do on my nails was extremely difficult, but I came up with something to represent my favorite characters and venue.
